During the visit and working session of the Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh with Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) on April 14, 2023, the Information Technology Institute (ITI) participated in the Exhibition of Semiconductor Technology and Applications with many typical products that attracted the attention of ministries, businesses, and scientists.

Besides direct contributions in training high-quality and highly qualified human resources, publishing hundreds of scientific papers and registering many intellectual property rights, the Smart Integrated System research group has developed some outstanding products related to semiconductor technology with high commercialization potential such as: Video codec chip according to advanced H.264/AVC standard (VENGME); Dual-band IoT transceiver chip applied in high-tech agriculture (IoTA); Lightweight security chip for IoT (SNACk); Security chip for RFID card; Safe IoT chip and device for smart cities (ADEN4IoT)…

The data security chip product for IoT system, which was designed, simulated, verified, and sent for fabrication at TSMC with the CMOS 65nm technology by the Smart Integrated Systems research group. Dr. Bui Duy Hieu, from the Information Technology Institute, Vietnam National University, Hanoi said that the group used the chip after fabrication to test the operation and build IoT applications by adding sensors and transceivers. All measurement data are secured by AES encryption algorithm with minimal power consumption. The research group has developed a test application to measure environmental parameters such as fine dust (PM 2.5, PM 10), hazardous gases, temperature, humidity, and wastewater quality.
