On January 14, 2022, the Institute of Technology, Information, University, National Hanoi, held a seminar on the topic “Deep learning and Blockchain”, two of the topics of great interest to the community in recent times. . This is a regular scientific exchange activity in the monthly seminar series of the Institute of Information Technology. This seminar is chaired by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vu Viet Vu, Head of Database and Information Systems Department, Institute of Information Technology, was held online on the Zoom system to attract scientists, PhD students from universities and research institutes. across the country.

 

The first report focuses on improving deep learning network for image segmentation problem by Dr. Dinh Viet Sang, currently working at the School of Information and Communication Technology – Hanoi University of Science and Technology, presented. These are new and updated studies for the image segmentation problem and the presented content especially emphasizes promising directions that can improve the quality of U-net deep learning networks.

The second report raised the issue of “Blockchain 3.0 opportunities and challenges” of MSc. Nguyen Anh Tien, East Town Hall Executive – Cardano Project Catalyst – Eastern Town hall and Dr. Minh Do, Department of Database and Information Systems, Institute of Information Technology, VNU. The content of the report introduces blockchain generations, existing challenges with blockchain platforms, and features of the new generation blockchain. At the same time, the report also points out the trend of ecosystem development on major blockchain platforms and opportunities and challenges for people working in education, training and scientific research.
Through the annual seminars, scientists from the Institute of Information Technology – Hanoi National University hope to have more opportunities to share with scientists in the community, and at the same time connect research groups. to work together to solve practical problems effectively.
