On the afternoon of September 29, 2023, at the Fairs and Exhibitions in Ha Long city, the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province and the Ministry of Science and Technology chaired the organization of an event connecting technology and innovation Vietnam in 2023 with the theme of “Innovation – Sustainable Development”.

Attending the opening ceremony were Vice Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang; Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat; Provincial Party secretary of Quang Ninh province Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky; Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations Phan Xuan Dung; together with representatives of ministries, departments, and some localities.

Attending the exhibition, the delegation of the Information Technology Institute, Vietnam National University, Hanoi led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoang Son, Vice-Director, along with Dr. Dinh Van Dung and researcher Nguyen The Anh who presented the  advanced and technological products. These product of the Information Technology Institute, Vietnam National University, Hanoi which were introduced in the exhibition such as: Secu-IoT system based on FPGA semiconductor chip technology; VNU-Diagnosis X-ray image diagnosis software; EduNet personalized education platform.

The Secu-IoT system is a secure solution based on FPGA technology for the Internet of Things (IoT) which optimizes energy efficiency and minimizes hardware costs. This system uses a RISC-V microprocessor and combines communication technologies such as LoRaWan and Bluetooth (BLE) to provide powerful data communication capabilities between computing components in the IoT network. Secu-IoT collects data from environmental sensors and then stores, analyzes, and processes them on the Cloud before delivering them to users. This system provides information about the surrounding environment and reacts immediately to environmental changes, assisting users in solving urgent problems.

In addition, there is a deep machine learning software technology product which supports medical X-ray diagnosis, helping doctors save time, improve quality, and enhance working productivity. Specifically, the research team of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoang Son has focused on researching deep learning models. It applied to identify areas of apical periodontitis in X-ray images to support dentists in examination and diagnosis. Therefore, they design a website software with a friendly, easy-to-use interface, hiding the underlying processing parts of the models. This will help doctors easily manage, organize and store patient examination and diagnosis data.

Finally, the Edunet personalized education platform product Edunet is a breakthrough in the field of modern education. With the goal of creating a diverse and personalized learning environment, Edunet brings lecturers and learners a completely new learning experience. It focuses on creating personalized courses and learning materials, based on each person’s unique learning needs and goals. Through the use of artificial intelligence and personal data, Edunet provides learners with customized learning materials and appropriate learning paths, helping them develop skills and knowledge in the most effective way.
