On January 9, 2023, the Information Technology Institute worked with Avnet company on research and development of AI applications based on FPGA technology. Avnet’s representatives include Mr. Christopher Koh – Director of ASEAN Application Division, Mr. Wang Soon Meng – Director of Commercial and Technical Division and R&D engineer group. Receiving the delegation, from the Information Technology Institute – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Xuan Tu – Director and Dr. Bui Duy Hieu – Head of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (AIoT Lab). The two sides discussed the development trends of AI and FPGA technology. On that basis, the two sides agreed to promote cooperation in the coming time with the following three focuses: (1) Cooperation in implementing research & product development projects based on Xilinx’s FPGA technology; (2) Training and fostering technology capacity for Avnet’s partners in Vietnam; and (3) Join in implementing technology research and development activities at Technology Hub.
