Hội thảo Đông Nam Á về Mạch và Hệ thống điện tử (SEACAS) là hội thảo quốc tế được tổ chức tạo điều kiện để các nhà khoa học công nghệ của khu vực Đông Nam Á trao đổi kinh nghiệm và kết quả nghiên cứu, triển khai ứng dụng trong lĩnh vực Mạch điện tích hợp và Hệ thống điện tử. Hội thảo SEACAS năm nay có sự góp mặt của các chuyên gia đầu ngành của IEEE về lĩnh vực Mạch và Hệ thống điện tử (IEEE CASS) bao gồm:

  • Amara Amara, Nguyên chủ tịch IEEE CASS, Cộng hòa Pháp.
  • Myung Hoon Sunwoo, Chủ tịch phụ trách hội thảo IEEE CASS (President-Elect), Hàn Quốc.

Hội thảo sẽ diễn ra trong ba ngày từ 2-4/12/2022 tại Viện Công nghệ Thông tin – Đại học Quốc gia Hà Nội. Trong đó, ngày 2/12/2022 sẽ diễn ra ngày hội thảo về Mạch và Hệ thống điện tử (CASS Day 2022) bao gồm các báo cáo mời từ các thành viên IEEE CASS và các khách mời từ IEEE CASS. Ngày 3-4/12/2022 diễn ra cuộc thi sáng tạo sinh viên về Mạch tích hợp và hệ thống điện tử với sự tham gia của các bạn sinh viên đến từ các trường đại học trong khu vực Đông Nam Á.

Speakers’ Biography

Professor Amara AMARA obtained the HDR (Confirmation of Leading Research Capabilities, Highest French Title) from Evry University, Ph.D. in computer science in 1989 and Master in microelectronics and computer science in 1984 from Paris VI University. In 1988 he joined IBM research and development laboratory at Corbeil-Essonnes as a researcher, where he was involved in SRAM memory design with advanced CMOS technologies. From 1989 to 1992, he was associate professor developing microelectronics academic programs for CEMIP (Paris and Ile-de-France Center for Microelectronics Education) and took part actively to many European Research Projects. In 1992 he joined ISEP (Paris Institute for Electronics) in charge of the Microelectronics Laboratory where he headed a joint team (Paris VI and ISEP) involved in High Speed GaAs VLSI circuit design. He was Deputy Managing Director of ISEP in charge of Research and International Cooperation. His research interests are mainly focusing on Low Power circuit design and on Design and Technology Interactions for advanced Electron Devices (SOI, DGates FD SOI, Ultra Thin Body SOI, 3D Integration etc…) In 1999, he did a sabbatical at Stanford University where he joined Professor De Micheli’s group. His current position is ICT for Development Strategist at “Terre des hommes” an International NGO specialized in Child Protection.

Professor Myung Hoon Sunwoo (SM’01–F’11) received a B.S. degree from Sogang University in 1980, an M.S. degree in EE from KAIST in 1982, and a Ph.D. degree in ECE from the University of Texas at Austin, U.S.A, in 1990. He worked for ETRI in Daejeon, Korea, from 1982 to 1985, and for the Digital Signal Processor Operations, Motorola, in Austin, Texas, from 1990 to 1992. Since 1992, he has been with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Ajou University in Suwon, Korea, where he is currently a Professor. He has authored over 450 papers, holds more than 110 patents, and has won more than 50 awards. He was an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Systems (2002–2003) and a co-editor of books, including “Selected Topics in Biomedical Circuits and Systems” (River Publishers Series in Circuits and Systems, 2021). He served as the General Chair of the International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS) 2012 in Seoul, Korea, and the General Co-chair of ISCAS 2021, Daegu, Korea. As the IEEE CASS VP-Conferences, he launched the IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Circuits and Systems (AICAS) in 2019. Currently, he is the director of the Medical Image Based Intelligent Diagnostic Internal Solutions (MIIDS) Research Center. He was a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE CASS (2009-2010), serving on the CASS Board of Directors (BoG) (2011 – 2016) and as the IEEE CASS VP of Conferences (2018–2021). Recently, he was elected as IEEE CASS President-Elect (2022–2023) and is currently an IEEE Fellow. His current research interests are artificial intelligence circuits and systems, low-power algorithms and architectures, medical imaging diagnosis, and deep-learning-based channel coding.

Professor Yoshifumi Nishio received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Keio University, Yokohama Japan, in 1988, 1990, and 1993, respectively.

In 1993, he joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Tokushima University, Tokushima Japan, where he is currently a Professor. From May 2000 he spent a year in the Laboratory of Nonlinear Systems (LANOS) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) as a Visiting Professor. He is an adjunct professor of Xi’an Jiaotong University from 2012 and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) from 2019. His research interests are in the areas of nonlinear circuits engineering, including analysis and application of chaos in electrical circuits, analysis of synchronization in coupled oscillatory circuits, development of analyzing methods for nonlinear circuits, theory and application of cellular neural networks, neural network architecture, complex networks, evolutionary computation, and bio-signal processing. He was the Chair of the IEEE CAS Society Technical Committee on Nonlinear Circuits and Systems (NCAS) during 2004-2005, the Steering Committee Secretary of the IEICE Research Society of Nonlinear Theory and its Applications (NOLTA) during 2004-2007, the Chair of the IEEE CAS Society Shikoku Chapter during 2011-2014, a member of the IEEE CAS Society Board of Governors during 2012-2017, and the Vice President on Regional Activities and Membership of the IEEE CAS Society during 2018-2021. He was an Editor of the IEICE Fundamentals Review during 2007-2012 and an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems-I: Regular Papers during 2004-2005, the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems-II: Express Briefs during 2012-2013 and 2016-2019, the IEEE CAS Magazine during 2008-2009, and the RISP Journal of Signal Processing during 2005-2012. He is currently serving as a Secretary for the NOLTA, IEICE (from 2009) and an Associate Editor for the IEEE CAS Society Newsletter (from 2007) and International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos (from 2015). He is also a member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications. He is a senior member of the IEEE, and a member of the IEICE and the RISP. He is a senior member of the IEEE, and a member of the IEICE and the RISP.

Professor Fakhrul Zaman Rokhani received the B.S. degree in University of Technology Malaysia, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degree from the University of Minnesota, USA. He is presently an associate professor at the Faculty of Engineering Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He heads the Gerontechnology program at MyAgeing Institute and Smart System and System-on-Chip (S3oC) research group. He was with Intel Penang Design Center as visiting professor, was with Huawei Technologies, visiting scholar at the ASIC & Systems State Key Lab at Fudan University, visiting professor in several universities including Turkey, Sudan and Indonesia, among others. His current research interests include designing energy-efficient system-on-chip (SoC), design automation, IoT system integration, and sensors for food quality application. Within CAS Society, currently, he serves as Chair of AdCom for Education, AdCom Digital Communications, Institute for Global Education committee and Ambassador for SEA chapters. He has served as ExCom for Strategic Communication for Malaysia section. At local chapter, he has served/currently serving as CAS ExCom for financial and communication, chapter chair for IEEE Consumer Electronics, ExCom for GOLD/YP, among others. On the publication front, he has been contributing as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems–I: Regular Papers (from 2021), CAS Society newsletter (from 2016), founding Editor-in-Chief CAS Malaysia chapter newsletter (2015-2018), and Technical Program Chair/Publication Chair/Track chairs of several IEEE CASS conferences. He is a senior member of the IEEE, and a corporate member of IEM and registered professional engineer and professional technologist.
