On July 31, 2024, the Information Technology Institute had a reception and working session with Prof. Ian Burnett – Vice President of RMIT University and Prof. Iwona Miliszewska – Dean of SSET.

Attending and directing the meeting on behalf of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) were Assoc. Prof. Pham Bao Son – Vice President of VNU and Assoc. Prof. Le Tuan Anh – Head of Development Cooperation Department. Welcoming the delegation on behalf of the Information Technology Institute were Prof. Tran Xuan Tu – Director of the Information Technology Institute and the Institute’s leadership.

The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss and develop a plan to implement research cooperation activities at the Innovation Hub (VNU-RMIT Innovation Hub). At the meeting, the two sides discussed extensively and agreed on a plan to implement cooperation activities in 2024. The key areas identified were related to: artificial intelligence, robotics, microchip design and information security.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue to maintain close contact to soon concretize the discussed cooperation plans, aiming to build the VNU-RMIT Innovation Hub as an Innovation Space of VNU, RMIT, coordinating with industrial enterprises to create high-value products to serve the community.
