VNU Vice President emphasized that VNU’s achievements as well as the social values ​​that VNU contributes to the country cannot be without the contributions of generations of female leaders. To show respect for the great value that female leaders have contributed, VNU Scientists Club has proposed to build and is honored to be sponsored by the British Council to implement the project “Capacity building Women leaders in higher education towards the era of digital transformation and globalization”.
 
This is also the first project of the VSL Scientists Club representing VNU in collaboration with universities in the UK and Vietnam, which will contribute to VSL’s borderless connection mission.
 
The project aims to awaken the potential and leadership roles of women in higher education institutions in the new era; support the implementation of strategies of partner universities in digital transformation and innovation orientation. Along with that, the project helps to build a network of female leaders of UK, Vietnamese and ASEAN universities, contributing to realizing VNU’s strategy in particular and Vietnam’s higher education innovation. Head of the Executive Committee of the Scientists Club, Vice Rector of Vietnam – Japan University, VNU, Tran Thi Thanh Tu, said that the project aims to provide knowledge and skills for female leaders in educational institutions. higher education in Vietnam; thereby empowering “female leaders” in higher education in the current digitalization and globalization context. The goals of the Project are all directed to the implementation of the “strategies of the partner universities” in the goal of “digital transformation” and “innovation orientation”.

The project is expected to provide a series of activities including: training courses, regular and annual dialogues, seminars from leading experts in the UK and Vietnam and leaders in institutions higher education institutions in Vietnam.
